Built-in protocol chip converts SFF-8482 SAS hard drive to standard SATA motherboard port, so your desktop PC can directly read/write SAS drives without any expensive RAID controller.
Comes with a 70cm 7-pin SATA data cable. Supports 2.5"/3.5" 512-sector SAS HDD/SSD at 6Gbps, plug and play with Windows/Linux.
Important: For SFF-8482 SAS drives with 512-sector ONLY. Does NOT work with 520/528 bytes-per-sector drives or SFF-8639 U.2 SSDs. Verify your drive before ordering.
Not for USB enclosures or USB adapters – direct motherboard SATA connection only. Built-in 3-level LED indicator shows real-time power and read/write status.
After conversion, SMART info may not fully display, but normal read/write is not affected. Boot time may be 10-20 seconds slower – normal for SAS drives. Designed for temporary data migration only, not for 24/7 continuous use.
